Hey lovelies, We all want our makeup to last super duper long without any touch ups. So here i am to discuss few of the hacks i use to help my makeup stay on for longer period of time. These hacks or say tricks are too much handy that you don't need to buy anything separately, and your beauty stash will come to your rescue.
1. Luminous Skin: Matte Foundation + Facial Oil
Gone are the days when we all wanted the flat matte skin all the time, For special occasions we all love that natural glow to the skin which seems like coming from within. For this type of the glow we can use our same matte finish foundation without making a hole in our pockets by buying two different foundations. Just The facial oil we use daily to give moisture to the skin, helps to get the same glowy foundation effect.
Just Add a drop or two to the foundation ( if u have a dry skin add few extra drops ) and apply. Voila!! you will turn your matte foundation into the dewy one.
2. Makeup Fixing Spray : Prep & Set
Makeup fixing spray fixes your makeup after you apply it.. Can't it work to prepare your skin to start fixing the makeup as you start applying the makeup??? Well, you can spray the makeup fixing spray on you face after applying the primer or as a primer as well and let it sit on your skin for few minutes and apply your foundation, it blends like a dream. even you can spray some fixing spray on you sponge before blending your foundation and as you start blending with that sponge, your foundation will start setting as soon as you blend it. Sounds amazing and time saving right??
3. Multiple Uses Of Lipstick : Eyeshadows & Blush.
You can use poppy colourful lipstick as an eyeshadow to match it with your lipstick or you can even use dark lipsticks or some violet or dark vampy lipsticks which usually you cant wear regularly to create the smokey eye look, or you can also use the unusual lipstick shades to work creatively with the eyeshadows with the little bit of blending, ( if you are working with the liquid matte lipsticks, you have to work super fast)
For example, here in crease i have used nykaa's Lipstick in shade plum in the crease and blended it with the shimmer eye shadow in teal on the lids. So now you dont require lot of eyeshadow palettes to create any eyelook if you have good lipstick in hand.
You can also Use the Pinky , creamy lipsticks as blush to have the rosy cheeks.. from the above shown in pics, options of the pinks and magentas, you can use in little amount on the cheeks blending it with either blush brush or with beauty sponge to have flush of colours on the cheeks.
4. Nude Eyeliner/ kohl :
Late night parties or gossips leads to the lack of sleep and swollen eyes. To make your eyes look wide awake and making your eyes look bigger use the nude eyeliner on the water line, it will instantly brighten your eyes and make you look super fresh even when you need the 3 cups of coffee to stay awake..
5. Eyeshadow as Highlighter :
You must be wondering that how can we use eyeshadow as a highlighter to make you look glowy in the lights ! well according to the skin tones, you can use the golden shade eyeshadow as your highlighter for cheekbones , eyebrow bone and even the nose highlight.. so have one eyeshadow and lipstick and you can be sorted with eye and cheek looks. so Amazing isn't it??
6. Mascara for brows :
There are so many brow mascaras are in the market but do you actually need it when you have your simple waterproof mascara??? well no..! you can use your waterproof mascara on your eyebrows to set them in place and give the fuller effect with the tint. being the waterproof , it is not gonna budge for whole day.
7. Fuller and Curled Eye lashes:
who doesn't like the super curled and longer, thicker lashes??? To get the long lasting curl, i have amazing hack for you girls. and that is "super hold hair spray". Spray some super hold hair spray on the eyelash curler and then curl your lashes with it and then apply mascara, I assure your lashes will stay curled until you wash off your mascaras.
Then, to have the fuller looking long lashes also i have hack for you, that is.... your near and dear Powder. Yes! you read it right. Apply one coat of mascara, then dust some powder on it with brush and let it dry for sometime and apply second coat of mascara. you will have amazing eye lashes like you have put on the falsies. !!
8. Making any lipstick long lasting:
This title says it all. Lipstick touch up is the easiest thing to do. But we are better left with no touch ups whatsoever.. For that you just need any light mauve shade or any nude lip liner. Not only line your lips with it to stop bleeding you lipstick, fill the lips with it to give base to your lipstick and your lipstick will not budge or move easily applied over the lipliner. In technical terms it is called the " Lip Contouring" by which you shape and fill your lips with liner and then apply lipstick over it. ( PS: if you have matching lip liner with your lipstick then nothing like it.)
